shoulder arthroscopy

Shoulder arthroscopy is a minimal invasive surgical technique using small incisions around a shoulder to introduce a camera and other instruments to work around the joint. All procedure is viewed on the screen. Arthroscopy has some obvious advantages over traditional open surgery - less invasive, less postoperative pain, less complications, shorter hospital stay. Nowadays it is a routine surgery. It is important to notice arthroscopy is just a technique that should be used in particular indications. Not all shoulder pathologies can be treated arthroscopically, however the limits of its use are still being changed.
